Dominican Republic

Whenever I tell people that I have a boyfriend from Repúblicana Dominicana, Dominican Republic, the first question I keep hearing is: "Where the heck is Dominican Republic?" So, I got tired of explaining it over and over again so i decided to give you a little bit of information about that small country at the Caribbean!

Like I told you, Dominican Republic's location is at the Caribbean. The country itself is at the island called Hispaniola and it's neighbour country is Haiti (for some reason everybody seems to know Haiti but not Dominican...). The population of the country is close to 10 million. The capital of Dominican Republic is Santo Domingo, where most of the locals live. The official language there is Spanish.

I guess, you got the main idea of Dominican Republic now. I still wonder why so many people seems to know it's neighbour country Haiti, but they don't havethe slightest idea about Dominican then.

I probably don't need to explain why I want to go there so bad!
